ICT Technician
Job Description:
Comnet Lesotho is inviting applications from suitably qualified, highly organized, and technically competent individuals for the position of ICT Technician within the ICT Department – Communications Unit.
The successful candidate shall primarily be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and support of the organization’s internal ICT systems and infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency, systems reliability, and uninterrupted business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and support of internal ICT systems and user devices.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Installation and configuration of operating systems and software.
- Internal user support and ICT helpdesk services.
- Monitoring network connectivity and system performance.
- Support of internal communication and connectivity systems.
- ICT asset tracking and inventory management.
- Assisting with ICT security, backups, and data protection measures.
- Providing technical assistance to employees across departments.
- Ensuring minimal downtime of organizational systems.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must possess:
- A Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Systems, Electronics, or similar discipline with at least three (3) years relevant working experience;
OR
- A Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Electronics, or similar discipline with at least seven (7) years practical working experience in a similar environment.
Added Advantages
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Mikrotik, Microsoft Certifications, or similar shall be an added advantage.
- Experience in corporate internal systems support shall be an added advantage.
